Signing in
Your accountant invites you to the portal by email. The first email contains a link to set your password. After that, you’ll sign in like any other website.
Setting up your account for the first time
When your accountant invites you, you’ll get an email with a button to activate your account.
- Open the email and click the activation link. The link is unique to you.
- Choose a password. Use at least 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers.
- Confirm the password. Type it a second time to make sure it matches.
- Sign in. You’ll be sent straight to your home dashboard.

The activation link is good for a limited time. If it’s expired by the time you open it, your accountant can send a new one.
Signing in every day
After your account is active, go to the portal address your accountant shared with you. You’ll see a sign-in screen with three fields:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Firm code | A short word your accountant gave you. You may not see this field if you reached the portal through your firm’s custom link. |
| Email address | The email your accountant invited you with |
| Password | The password you set when you activated your account |
Click Sign in.

If you have an extra-security step turned on, you’ll be asked to enter a 6-digit code from your email.
Forgot your password
Click Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.
- Enter the email address tied to your account.
- Check your inbox for a reset email.
- Click the link in that email.
- Choose a new password and confirm it.
You’ll be signed in automatically once the new password is saved.
If you don’t see the reset email after a couple of minutes, check your spam folder. If it’s still missing, message your accountant — they can resend the invitation.
Signing out
Click your initials in the top-right corner and choose Sign out.
If you don’t sign out, the portal will remember your sign-in for a while. After a stretch of inactivity, you’ll be asked to sign in again — this is a security feature, not a problem.
Why your firm code matters
Some accountants serve clients with the same email address (think family members who share an inbox). The firm code keeps everyone’s accounts separate, so the right person reaches the right portal.
If you forget your firm code, your accountant can remind you — it’s the short identifier in the address bar when you visit the portal.
